Nolan Signs With Palm Beach Atlantic

Senior Sara Nolan has signed with Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL to run cross country and track.  As a sophomore transfer, Nolan has been a three-year varsity cross country runner and a two-year varsity track runner.  Nolan has had many noteworthy finishes in both sports. She finished top 25 in the Georgetown Prep race and the Doc Jones Invitational.  She finished top 50 in the Bull Run Invitational.  She placed 3rd in the Crazy Sock Invitational and 10th in the IAAM B Conference championship.  She earned 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the MACA Track and Field Classic.

After a visit to Palm Beach Atlantic during her junior year, Nolan knew this was the school for her.  She fell in love with the beautiful campus and surrounding area.  The Christian environment was uplifting and provided a great community feel.  While at Palm Beach Atlantic, she plans to study communications and creative writing.

AACS has provided her a community that has allowed for growth in various ways.  The coaches, students, teachers, and various mentors have helped her learn more about herself and who she wants to become.  She is grateful for all the people who have influenced her and helped guide her throughout life thus far.  Nolan said, "The AACS community has been a true blessing and has given me so much joy.  It's amazing to be apart of a community that shows the love and joy of the Lord.  I will take what I have learned from AACS not only with me when I leave for college, but also will hold onto it for all the adventures to come."

Athletic Director, Jim Domoracki, said, "Sara has been an important member of our community and also our cross country and track teams.  She is a great teammate and shows great sportsmanship to all those she competes against.  Those efforts were rewarded during cross country when she was awarded a character coin for it.  Sara has a great opportunity ahead of her and I'm sure she will continue to make an impact on those around her as she moves on to compete in college."

Girls Varsity Cross Country Head Coach, Wendy Rogers, said, "Sara is the rare individual who can have you in stitches one minute and put on her game face and race with the best of them the next.  She made everyone feel welcome and that they belonged. She helped hold the team together.  I was blessed to train and work with her and now to call her my friendand we were blessed to have Sara on the team."
