After winning the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference championship last year and losing in the final the year before, Annapolis Area Christian School volleyball coach Marianne Graham and the school's athletic administration figured the Eagles needed a challenge.

So AACS matriculated back to the B Conference, and so far the results have been good.

After a pair of season-opening losses to non-conference opponents, the Eagles have won two straight in the conference after sweeping Bryn Mawr, 25-16, 25-19, 25-18 on Wednesday. Their previous conference win was a 3-2 victory against Maryvale Prep a week ago and AACS is primed to make its mark in the B Conference this time around.

"We're really excited about this year because we have a lot of new talent and we have talent that moved up from JV. Plus, we have five returning starters," Graham said. "They are very exciting players, especially our middles, plus we have an extra setter and added hitters."
