Rosacker and Williams Named January Athletes of the Month

January Athletes of the Month

Megan Rosacker

Year: Sophomore

Sport: Swimming

Megan had a very strong season, peaking at the IAAM Championship Race.  She earned the most individual points for the team at championships, finishing 7th in the 200 free and 9th in the 500 free, dropping 18 seconds off of her personal record in the race. In our dual meets during January she finished 1st in the 200 free against Sts. Peter and Paul and versus Catholic she finished 2nd in the 500 free.

"Megan has been willing to tackle a couple of the hardest events our team swims each meet. She has worked through the mental strain of each, especially the 500, continually allowing herself to be challenged. Ultimately, at our championship meet she dropped 18 seconds in her 500 free, swimming her best time to date." – Rachel Duncan, Varsity Head Coach

Cameron Williams

Year: Senior

Sport: Basketball

Position: Guard

Cameron averaged 11 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds per game. He often has the task of defending the opponent's best offensive player and consistently makes big plays for the team. He is a relentless defender and is one of the team's leaders in charges taken and steals per game. His hustle and love for the game and his teammates is contagious.

"Cam is one of the finer young men I know. He is such a pleasure to coach that we already wince at the thought of not having him next year. This has nothing to do with his abilities, which are substantial, but everything to do with his character, work ethic and humility. Cam has led this team through a trying and difficult stretch as a Captain and as a young man who has worked hard even when things were difficult." – Doug Scheidt, Varsity Head Coach.
