October Athletes of the Month

Zoe Lemke

Zoe has been a key contributor to the team's 5-2 record for the month of October.  She scored 10 goals and assisted on 5 others as the team secured the 4th seed in the IAAM playoffs. She had 2 goals and 2 assists in 4-1 IAAM Quarterfinal win over Mt. Carmel and tallied a hat trick and an assist in 6-1 win over St, John's. "Zoe works hard and strives to get better every day. She is a joy to coach and daily brings a smile to everyone's face.  She has a bright future ahead of her and I am excited to have her on the team for two more years."

-Amy Sproul, Varsity Head Coach

Hunter Steinau

Hunter has had an incredible run (no pun intended) in the month of October.  In the tri-meet on the 17th he broke the school course record with a time of 17:06.  In the tri-meet on the 31st be broke it again with an incredible time of 16:35. Hunter has consistently been the top runner races this year.  He has remained humble and has been a great example to his teammates.  He consistently trains hard and has shown great grit and determination.

"Hunter is the heart of our team, not simply by being fast. He is quiet, and confident, and leads by example. He holds the respect of his teammates and coaches.  He works hard and just as importantly he works smart and it shows daily in his running. "
