The AACS girls varsity basketball team defeated Atlantic Shores Christian 54-37 in the first round of the Eagle Classic on Friday, November 30. Lydia Wood led all scorers with 20 points. Wood also had 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals giving her her first high school double-double. Ky'ara Olfus added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Taylor Grollman finished with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Morgan DeBeary chipped with with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
The Eagles improve to 1-1 overall and will face Indian Creek in the championship game of the 24th annual Eagle Classic.
