Track and Field Takes 1st and 2nd Overall

The AACS Track and Field team had another successful meet on Wednesday, April 24 placing 1st for the girls and 2nd for the boys.

Maya Whitney had a stand out day with 1st places finishes in the 100m, 200m, and with 4x100 relay team of Amani Brown, April Black, and Sydney AhmedVerity Fogarty also had an impressive meet with 1st place finishes in the 1600m, 3200m, and with the 4x800 relay team of Rachel Hutchins, Betsy Ball, and Grace Deterding.  The 4x200 relay team of Whitney, Brown, Dillan Clarke, and Heather Swain took 2nd place.  Brown also finished 2nd in the 100m. Hutchins finished 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 1600m.  Ahmed earned 1st place in the 400m.

Jalon Edwards earned 1st in the 110m hurdles in addition to 2nd in the 300m hurdles and 2nd in the long jump.  Eli Croskey finished 1st in the 100m and was on the 1st place 4x100 relay team with Elijah Pierre, Justin Hamilton, and Kerrell Clark.  Croskey also was a part of the 2nd place 4x400 relay team with Chase Brown, Connar McGrath, and Tytus Smith.  Jack Nebbia took 1st in the 1600m, 3rd in the 800m, and 1st in the 4x800 relay team with Jack Marti, Tim Graustein, and McGrath.

The Eagles continue working hard in preparation for championships on May 8, 9 and 11.  They finish out regular season with a meet at John Carroll next week on May 1.
