The AACS girls varsity softball team defeated Concordia Prep 11-0 in the season opener on Tuesday, March 12. Lindsay Wilson threw a one-hitter, striking out 9 batters. Wilson also went 2 for 3 at bat with 3 RBIs and 3 scored runs. Courtney Maurer also went 2 for 3 including a triple and 3 scored runs. As catcher, Maurer was able to throw a girl out trying to steal. Shannon O'Ferrall went 1 for 2 with 2 walks and 2 scored runs. Leslie Kelley and Paige Rice scored one run each. Gracie Brewster finished with 2 RBIs. Hana Hoitt and Carrie Anderson each added an RBI.
The Eagles start the season off 1-0 and will travel to Mt. Carmel on Friday, March 15.
