The AACS varsity tennis team defeated Key School 3-2 for the second time this week. With this win, the team has clinched 1st place in the MIAA C Conference. Senior Collin O'Keefe won at No. 3 singles. Both doubles teams, Nick Lloyd/Nigel Park and Jeff Kolbeins/Caitlyn Bontempo, won their matches to help give the Eagles the win in their final regular season game.
The team is now 11-2 overall and undefeated in conference at 8-0. The team will open up with their first round playoff game at home on Tuesday, May 8.
Head Coach Bill Bloomquist said, "This was a challenging week as our varsity players played conferences matches 4 days in a row including two bigs wins over 2nd place Key School. The success of the team has come from the depth we have and the great team spirit."
