AACS Finishes 2nd At Woodberry Forest Invitational

The AACS boys varsity soccer team completed their third annual retreat to Virginia over the Labor Day weekend where they competed in the Woodberry Forest Invitational.  The boys finished 2nd in the tournament. 

In the opening game, the Eagles came back from 0-2 deficit late in the second-half to win 3-2 over Woodberry Forest.  Anthony Coppola scored the first two goals to tie the game and Jaden Rollins hit the game winner.  Luke Eberle added 3 assists.

In the championship game, the Eagles fell behind early to Trinity Episcopal, but Anthony Coppola came back to tie the game late in the second-half off another assist from Luke Eberle.  Trinity scored another soon afterwards to give them the lead and the eventual victory.

The Eagles will host Friends School in a double header on Wednesday, September 4 at 5:45 PM.
