The AACS boys varsity soccer team defeated Gerstell Academy 2-0 in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA B Conference playoffs on Monday, October 30.  Sophomore Luke Eberle started the offense with a goal in the 24th minute off an assist from senior Drew Miller.  Sophomore Anthony Coppola claimed the second goal off a rebound to make it a 2-0 game.  Senior goalie Nick Lloyd earned his 7th shut out of the season.

The Eagles will head to Concordia Prep on Thursday, November 2 for the semifinals of the B Conference playoffs.  The boys haven't advanced to the semifinal round since 2010.  The team improves to 8-6-3 overall.
