Sturgell Named Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach

Annapolis Area Christian School has named Bob Sturgell varsity head boys lacrosse coach for the 2018 season.  Coach Sturgell takes over for Steve Deterding who stepped down after the 2017 season.  Coach Deterding was the head coach for two seasons. Prior to that he served as an assistant for ten years. Coach Sturgell has coached in the club ranks for nine years, played at the Naval Academy and was an All County player at Southern High School.

"It is an opportunity for me to give back to the Annapolis Area Christian School and lacrosse communities. I looked forward to helping train up our boys to play hard, respect the game, but most importantly to become men of character who serve Christ." – Bob Sturgell

"Coach Sturgell has played at the highest levels in college (Naval Academy) and high school (Southern).  He will bring a wealth of experience to a young team and has a great vision for the program. We are blessed to have him. He has great energy and is a man of character and faith." - Jim Domoracki, Director of Athletics
