Borden Signs With California University of Pennsylvania

Senior Dylin Borden has signed with California University of Pennsylvania in California, PA to play basketball.  As a sophomore transfer, Borden has been a three-year varsity player at AACS along with a year of playing lacrosse.  He's been playing basketball since the age of 4 where he began his career as a point guard.  He was named to the All-Tournament team of the Eagle Classic during his junior year and was also given the coaches award that same year.  He received All-Conference honors as a senior along with 2nd team All-County.

Borden knew that Cal University of PA was the place for him.  It seemed like the perfect fit.  The coaching staff there will provide a great place to call home and grow and develop both on and off the court.  While there, he plans to study psychology.

AACS has provided challenging course work to better prepare him for college studies.  The lessons in the classroom and key life lessons Borden learned at AACS will be something he carries on for the next four years and many years to come.  AACS has given him a solid foundation in his faith that will him keep him on the right path as he moves on to a public college.  While playing in one of the top conferences in the country, Borden has learned what it takes to play against top-level competition and still be successful.  Borden expresses his gratitude to AACS and the coaches that have helped him get to where he is today.  The constant encouragement and support from students and teachers has been a big highlight for him.

Head Coach, Doug Scheidt, said, "Dylin has earned everything he's gotten over the last three years at AACS.  I couldn't be prouder of what he's accomplished with the gifts God has given him."

Athletic Director, Jim Domoracki, said, "What a joy it is to see Dylin move on to play basketball at the next level.  His hard work and dedication to the game has paid off."
