Hardy Signs With Boston College

Hardy Signs With Boston College

Senior Josh Hardy has signed with Boston College in Newton, MA to play football.  Hardy has been a four-year varsity football player in addition to being a part of the AACS track program and basketball program.  Having started playing football just seven years ago, Hardy has found success at defensive end.  He was named to the All-Conference team this fall and was a part of the 2018 championship team.

The high level of academics and big time ACC football were contributing factors on Hardy's decision to commit to Boston College.  It ultimately became the best place for him to better himself both on and off the field.  While at Boston College, he plans to study studio arts or film studies.

In a small school environment, AACS has taught Hardy the benefits of hard work in and out of the classroom.  He has found opportunities to separate himself from other athletes out there and truly stand out.

"Josh has worked so hard over the last four years at AACS.  As a multi-sport athlete, he has become a well-rounded athlete and has set himself up for success at the next level.  His hard work has paid off and I am so proud of him and the opportunity that he has to play D1 football next year at BC." - Josiah Wolf, Athletic Director

"From the day that Josh stepped on to the AACS campus, he stood out. He came in with a goal in mind to go on to play Division 1 college football, and he has worked extremely hard to bring that dream to life. He has had to fight through many obstacles, and persevere through ongoing opposition. We have seen a tremendous amount of growth in him, not just as a football player, but as a developing young man. We are appreciative of the time that we have shared with him in his years at AACS, and we are excited to see where his future takes him. Moving from one Eagles nest to another at Boston College, continue to SOAR to new heights!" - Marcus Bell, AACS Football Coach
