With the return of key members from last season's MIAA C Conference championship team, the group of seniors has a chance to win three titles in a four-year span. Head Coach Mike Lynn still stresses the motto "Expect to Win" to his AACS faithful.

Akinmukomi played sparingly in the Eagles' one and only scrimmage against Northeast and the AACS contingent hopes he is fine for the opener against B Conference runner-up Severn. If not available, then Dominick Banks is a capable fill-in, while Thaddeus Standfield is a weapon any time he touches the football. The Eagles will look to exceed the 26-point average they scored a year ago while the defense will look to limit less than the 13.3 average they did last season. With success again this season, it will mark the possibility of a fifth straight championship game appearance for the Eagles.

"We have to build on the support that we have at the school and receive from the administrators, the other students and the rest of the AACS community," Lynn said. "What we have to do as a football staff is to continue to put our players in the best situations to have success. All the best resources, the tools and the support that we need from outside the program is there. We just need, as a coaching staff, to utilize that and continue to nurture and grow our players on and off the field."
