The AACS boys varsity baseball team defeated St. John's 10-0 on Thursday, May 2 to clinch a spot in the MIAA B Conference playoffs.  With the combined pitching from Sergei Veres, Evan Haulik, and Andrew Sowinski, the Eagles earned the shutout win.  AACS sealed the victory by scoring 7 runs in the 5th inning.  Andrew Sowinski, Matt Sowinski, Austin Swartz, and Derek Whaley each had RBIs in that inning.  Swartz, Veres, Whaley, and the Sowinski brothers each had a hit.

The Eagles are now 9-8 in conference and will host Mt. Carmel on Tuesday, May 7 in the last regular season home game.
