The AACS boys varsity baseball team defeated Friends 14-0 on Tuesday, April 16.  The Sowinski brother combination at the mound helped earn the Eagles the shutout in the MIAA B Conference game.  The team started out strong with a 5 run 1st inning where Andrew Sowinski, Matt Sowinski, Sergei Veres, Evan Haulik, and Isaac Miller all scored.  Derek Whaley hit a homerun in the 2nd inning to increase the lead.  Miller, Austin Swartz, Caleb Gentry, and Will Henderson all added RBIs in the 2nd inning.

The Eagles improve to 6-8 overall which puts them in contention for a playoff spot in May.  They will return in action on Monday, April 22 at home against Boys' Latin.
