Required Physical Exam for All Middle and Upper School Athletes 

 

Student-athletes in grades 6 through 12 must register for their specific seasonal sport on the AACS FamilyID website portal and upload a current physical, clearing them for participation in sport, on FamilyID in order to particpate in tryouts, practices, or games at AACS. The AACS Physical Form must be used and physicals are valid for 13 months from the date of the exam. FamilyID registration must be completed for each AACS student-athlete along with a copy of the student-athlete's physical. Both the Middle School and the Upper School use the same form for physicals. The physical must be signed and stamped by an authorized medical professional and signed by the parent or legal guardian before it is uploaded to the AACS FamilyID website portal.

 

 

 Participation Requirements

Upper School Transfer Students (MALE ONLY):
The MIAA Eligibility Verification Form (EVF) is mandatory for all male student-athletes who are transferring to AACS after their freshman year of high school. This is not required for incoming freshmen or for female student-athletes.The form must be signed by the parent or legal guardian as well as the outgoing school director of athletics. Transfer students are not allowed to tryout, practice or participate in games until the EVF has been approved by the MIAA.

MIAA Eligibility Verification Form

A student must be fully enrolled at AACS (minimum of four classes) in order to participate in tryouts, practice, or games.  A student who has attained his/her 19th birthday before August 31 of a given academic year is not eligible to participate.  A student who has attained his/her 19th birthday on or after August 31st of a given academic year may participate only on the varsity level.

Limit of Athletic Eligibility:  Student-athletes have four years of athletic eligibility upon successful completion of the eighth grade.

Academic Standing:  Student-athletes must be in good academic standing in order to participate. Students on academic probation must maintain a 2.0 in their core courses for the quarter in order to participate.  Academic probation students falling below a 2.0 in their core for the quarter will be held out of sports participation for a minimum of two weeks to help them focus on improving their studies.
