Luke earned four varsity letters in wrestling and was captain of the team in 2000 and 2001. The AACS wrestling team won the State Championship in 2000 and the MIAA Championship in 2001. Luke posted a record of 158 wins, 29 losses during his career. He was a three-time National Prep All-American and a two-time State Finalist. In 2001, Luke was the MIAA Champion, the State Champion and was voted the MIAA Most Outstanding Wrestler. Upon graduation Luke owned the record for Most Career Points at States. He was named to the Washington Post All-Metro Team in 2000 and 2001 and to the Capital Gazette's All County Team in 2001. Luke still stays very much involved in the sport as the head coach of the AACS wrestling team, a position he has held since 2008.
